A total of 31 private-equity real estate funds recorded final closings during second quarter 2016, raising an aggregate total of $31.3 billion, according to IREI’s FundTracker database. 

A total of 41 new investment funds were launched during second quarter 2016, bringing the midyear total to 88 new funds. As a group, the second quarter funds are seeking to raise approximately $21.4 billion.
