LandSec to Build Offices in City of London

by

Land Securities has received planning approval for a two-building development in the City of London. The mixed-use development is expected to be completed in December 2013.

Land Securities’ planned development comprises 18,100 square metres of office space at 30 Old Bailey and 14,100 square metres of office space and 2,300 square metres of retail and restaurant space at 60 Ludgate Hill.

“We were the first to re-start a major development programme after the downturn, anticipating supply-constrained conditions,” says Colette O’Shea, head of development, London portfolio, with Land Securities. She notes that development is the latest part of the firm’s plan to deliver more than 185,000 square metres of new space by April 2014.
