Never a Dull Moment: The Arrival of a New Real Estate Investment Vehicle Adds to German Insurance Company Investment Options

The worldwide fiscal crisis has put a damper on investments by German insurance companies, which represent some of the largest institutional investors in Germany. Now that the crisis shows signs of abating, German insurance companies are seeking out new investments. Real estate investments were a particularly favourite investment choice prior to the crisis, and the recent Emerging Trendsreport from the Urban Land Institute and PricewaterhouseCoopers shows that this trend does not seem to have changed.
