Columbus Closes UK Real Estate Fund

Columbus Capital Management, part of Schroder’s real estate investment and asset management business, has held a final close for the Columbus UK Real Estate Fund, which raised £160 million (e186.4 million) in equity to invest in UK property. With gearing, the fund will have a buying power of up to £320 million (e372.8 million), half of which has already been invested. Investors include two large global investors and a UK corporate pension fund, which made a co-investment commitment.

The fund’s most recent investment is the acquisition of an office in the City of London from Stockland for £15.6 million (e18.2 million). The 9,800-square-metre Lombard House, located at 33 Gracechurch Street, was acquired in a joint venture with the British Air
