The Case for Vietnam: Vietnam Has a Tough Real Estate Market, but a Turnaround is Expected

In light of the economic turmoil that Vietnam has gone through — and continues to go through — the question remains: Is Vietnam the right destination for investing in real estate?

CBRE recently claimed that Vietnam’s real estate market is not dead, a stance that I would like to reiterate. I firmly believe that, once investors have the right approach and tools in place to overcome the short-term challenges, Vietnamese real estate can offer solid fundamentals and will prove to be a promising investment.

ECONOMIC OVERVIEW

Vietnam’s recent economic headwinds are said to be the growing pains of a young economy, and they are not unlike the problems faced by other developing nations such as China and India. However, the recent economic turmoil has caused investors to question whether investing in Vietnam is right for them.
