Asia Pacific investors go global: Asia lacks enough suitable product for Asia Pacific investors seeking core assets

Where will Asia Pacific investors put their money in 2015, and what are their preferred investment products? What are their constraints? How will fund managers align their products to investors’ needs? The ANREV Investment Intentions Survey 2015 addresses these questions.

This year’s record sample of 144 institutional investors, 19 fund of funds managers and 174 fund managers makes this a robust survey. In addition, we asked Real Capital Analytics to back-test the investment intentions: Are fund managers doing what they say they will? Is the survey a good predictor of transaction destinations? Due to the improvement in participation in the 2014 survey, the study has been able to compare intentions of those managers with their transactions during the past year, illustrating how the survey acts as a good predictor of transaction activity in investment markets.
