A consortium of Italian toll road developers — Atlantia and SIAS, together with the local bank, Mediobanca — has acquired the 50 percent share it did not already own in three Chilean toll road concessionaires. The consortium paid €290 million ($429 million) to the Spanish infrastructure group, Acciona, for the following stakes: 50 percent of Vespucio Sur, which manages a 24-kilometer section of an urban motorway serving Santiago del Chile; 50 percent of Litoral Central, which manages a 79-kilometer stretch of a toll motorway along the coast to the northwest of Santiago del Chile; and 50 percent of Operalia, the firm that maintains the stretch operated by Vespucio Sur.
