Two development projects totaling $1b approved

Two mixed-use projects, comprising a total of more than $1 billion in development, have been approved, one in Atlanta and the other in St. Louis.

About 45 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, the Hall County Board of Commissioners approved a proposed $700 million, 508-acre mixed-use development in Braselton, Ga. The developer is ARW Group, a joint venture between Peachtree City and Foxfield Co.

The Atlanta River Walk project includes 265 single-family homes, 215 townhomes, 600 multifamily units, 242,000 square feet of retail space and 424,000 square feet of office space. Also, a 200-room hotel, 20,000-square-foot convention center, 50,000-square-foot grocery store and 60,000-square-foot theater will be part of the project. The waterfront village will surrounded by 30 acres of green space featuring art installations, walking trails and multi-use path.
