Savills names Stockholm top European shopping center market

Stockholm is currently the best European city for investment in shopping centers due to its “safe-haven” status and relatively wealthy population, according to Savills.

Savills’ European research team recorded the shopping center investment opportunities across 23 European cities by analyzing four types of market fundamentals: market size, market stability, retail prospects and potential returns.

The Savills 2016 European Shopping Centre Investment Benchmarking report reveals Stockholm, with its solid economic fundamentals, comes out ahead of all other cities, closely followed by Warsaw. London, Amsterdam and Paris round out the top five. Other cities included in the analysis are Athens, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dusseldorf, Edinburgh, Helsinki, Krakow, Lodz, Lyon, Madrid, Manchester, Marseille, Milan, Munich, Poznan, Vienna and Wroc
