Recent commercial real estate acquisitions

Below is a sampling of recent property transactions tracked by Real Capital Analytics (RCA). The largest completed transactions included office properties in Chicago and New York City.

In downtown Chicago, CBRE Strategic Partners U.S. Value 6, a fund sponsored by CBRE Global Investors, closed on its acquisition of 181 W. Madison St. from GE Capital. The sales price was approximately $300 million. The 953,000-square-foot, trophy-quality office tower was constructed in 1990 in Chicago’s Central Loop based off a design by architect Cesar Pelli.

CBRE Strategic Partners U.S. Value 6 has been actively investing its $1.1 billion capital. The firm plans to be fully invested at the end of the year.
