New firm launches first fund

C&B Equity Investments has launched BB Residential Investments Fund 1, described as an open-end fund with a $100 million fundraising goal. It will officially open on Jan. 1, 2014. A final close will be held in September 2014.

The fund has an investment style of core-plus, value-added and opportunistic and will invest in residential and multifamily real estate properties in Los Angeles County. The fund will acquire distressed and/or undervalued residential properties, remodel assets and resell them back into the market. Transactions will be between $300,000 and $1.3 million.
