The $16.3 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana has created a 2 percent allocation within its portfolio to invest in REITs.
The pension fund will be conducting a manager search next year to help invest some of the capital. The search will be brought to the pension fund’s board for approval at its June 2017 board meeting, and a final decision on the mandate will be made Sept. 8, 2017.
