IFM announces name change and expansion plans

IFM Investors, formerly Industry Funds Management, has changed its name, announced plans to open a new office in Japan in early 2014 and bolstered its North American infrastructure debt program with a new executive in New York City. The moves come four months after the firm opened an office in Berlin.

“Our shareholders had the foresight to establish a unique investor-owned model that is now a growing global company that has maintained its core purpose and values,” says Brett Himbury, CEO IFM Investors, about the name change. “Our investment strategy stays the same. We remain focused on being a trusted institutional investment manager, assisting our investors to access global markets and delivering strong results.”

In Tokyo, the firm has promoted Eddy Schipper to executive director of business development to lead the new office.
