Google buys Silicon Valley office campus for $250m

Software company NetApp has sold its eight-building office complex in Sunnyvale, Calif., to Google for $250 million. NetApp will remain a tenant.

The sale is expected to close by April 22. NetApp is a data storage management provider and servicer and an entity of Google.

The Sunnyvale office properties comprise 1299 Orleans Drive (46,170 square feet), 1277 Orleans Drive (42,624 square feet), 1260 Crossman Ave. (95,464 square feet), 1240 Crossman Ave. (125,648 square feet), 549 Baltic Way (110,160 square feet), 641 Baltic Way (88,320 square feet), 611 Baltic Way (43,372 square feet) and 633 Caribbean Drive (43,372 square feet).

Google has been expanding beyond its headquarters in Mountain View, Calif. Recently, Hudson Pacific Properties sold its Bayhill Office Center in San Bruno, Calif., to Google subsidiary
