BKM Capital to launch second industrial fund

by Jody Barhanovich

BKM Capital Partners is planning to launch BKM Industrial Value Fund II, it’s second in a fund series focused on industrial investment, in January 2017.

The closed-end fund will invest in value-added industrial properties in the United States. The fund has a $300 million equity fundraising target with a final close scheduled for year-end 2017.

The fund’s predecessor, BKM Industrial Value Fund I, held a final close with $105 million in equity commitments in February 2016. BKM Capital bought a total of 18 properties with the fund.

BKM Capital has acquired multiple industrial properties throughout the United States, including a total of 12 properties in Phoenix, Ariz. Three of these properties are in Tempe, Ariz., and include a 500,000-square-foot industrial building purchased from Invesco Real Estate for $58 million in June and two properties purchased from Deutsche Real Estate Group in May.
