by Jennifer Molloy

Andie Kang will step down as head of the global real estate group for South Korea’s National Pension Service in order to move to the investment management side of the industry, effective April 6.

“It has been my privilege to work with great professionals around the globe during real estate cycles,” says Kang about his time with NPS.

Kang will join IGIS Asset Management on April 20 with the primary role of leading the firm’s international investment division as co-CEO. IGIS is the second-largest real estate investment manager in South Korea, with approximately $6.2 billion in assets under management as of December 2014.

Commenting on his upcoming role, Kang says he “will contribute to building a transparent investment platform on the basis of solid initiatives and insights.”
