Shop Talk: Ethan Penner on finance and regulation

Ethan Penner, managing partner of Monday Capital Partners, started his long and distinguished career in the savings and loans industry and joined the legendary Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1986, where he established the firm’s non-agency and adjustable-rate mortgage units and oversaw a $1 billion capital commitment business. He is also founder of Capital America, a subsidiary of Nomura Securities, and CBRE Capital Partners, a real estate debt investment management platform with investor commitments in excess of $500 million. In this podcast he discusses financial regulation, the Federal Reserve's quantitative easing program, the European sovereign debt crisis, and his lack of faith in the long-term viability of China’s centrally planned economy.
