Shopping Centre Opens in Czech Republic

by

Meyer Bergman and the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), a Canadian pension fund, have opened Forum Nová Karolina, a shopping centre in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The 60,000-square-metre shopping centre is anchored by an Albert hypermarket, has an eight-screen cinema and includes retailers such as H&M, Marks & Spencer and C&A. With the signing of a lease to Peek & Cloppenburg, the property is now 99 percent let.

Meyer Bergman, on behalf of Meyer Bergman European Retail Partners I, and HOOPP acquired the property in 2011 from Multi Corp, the shopping centre’s developer.
