GIC and CIC Invest $1 Billion in U.S. LNG Export Plant

A consortium of the China Investment Corp. (CIC), The Blackstone Group, Government of Singapore Investment Corp. (GIC) and the Louisiana Teachers Retirement System has invested $1.5 billion in the development of Sabine Pass, Cheniere Energy Partners’ liquefied natural gas (LNG) export plant in western Cameron Parish, La., according to a report by Reuters. GIC and CIC each have invested $500 million.
