Texas pension fund commits $8m to infrastructure

The $1.3 billion El Paso Firemen & Policemen Pension Fund has committed $8 million to Global Infrastructure Partners III, according to recent meeting documents.

Global Infrastructure Partners will invest globally in large-scale infrastructure assets. The fund is seeking to raise up to $15 billion. The $106.8 billion Washington State Investment Board recently invested $500 million in the fund.

The pension fund has a 10 percent target allocation to private equity.
