Texas C&D commits $50m to Carlyle

The $23 billion Texas County & District Retirement System committed $50 million to Carlyle Realty Partners VII on March 31, according to the pension plan’s website. The pension fund also committed $1.84 million to EnCap Energy Capital Fund VIII Co-Investors on the same day.

CRP VII is an opportunistic fund managed by The Carlyle Group that launched in July 2013 with a $4 billion fundraising goal. The fund had raised $1.13 billion as of April 4 after receiving other commitments in March including $50 million from San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System and $
