SL Green has acquired the SoHo Building in New York City for approximately $255 million from Goldman Properties, according to a statement. The transaction is expected to close in third quarter 2015.
The New York City real estate market has seen strong sales volume, with $8.6 billion in transactions in the second quarter, according to Real Capital Analytics, and some $9.5 billion of deals are currently pending or have been completed so far in the third quarter. In the past two months, Manhattan properties have been acquired by Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, Pershing Square Capital Management and Georgetown Co.,
