Prime Finance markets fifth debt fund

Prime Finance Partners has a fifth fund in the market, according to a filing with the SEC. The filing does not disclose an equity fundraising target; however, according to IREI’s FundTracker database, the fund is targeting $800 million in equity commitments.

Prime Finance Partners V is part of a fund series that invests in U.S. debt; the series started in 2008 with the debut fund Prime Finance Partners I.

Currently, there 108 closed-end private real estate debt funds in the market, targeting more than $69.8 billion in fundraising, according to the FundTracker database. Prime Finance Partners V has the 24th largest fundraising target.

The top three funds are Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies III, managed by The Blackstone Group, with a $4 billion fundraising target; Oaktree Real Estate Opportunities Fund VII, managed by Oaktree Capita
