Pennsylvania SERS approves $30 million investment

The board of the $25.7 billion Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS) has approved a $30 million commitment to Hawkeye Scout Fund II, managed by Hawkeye Partners. The fund will invest in emerging managers who pursue an array of real estate investment strategies.

The commitment will improve the liquidity of the real estate asset class as well as increase Pennsylvania SERS’ commitment to real assets strategies that cannot be accessed through separate account investments, as outlined in the retirement system’s 2012–2013 Strategic Investment Plan.
