The $12.7 billion School Employees Retirement System of Ohio is launching a search for a general investment consultant at the end of the month, according to Tim Barbour, senior communications coordinator for the pension fund.
Summit Strategies Group, the pension fund’s current consultant, will reach the end of its five-year contract in June 2016. The pension fund’s policy requires the RFP process every five years, and Summit is invited to rebid.
Barbour says the pension fund hopes to select finalists by the end of 2015 and make a decision by May 2016.
The RFP will be available on the pension fund’s website.
