Nebraska invests in four real estate funds

The $22.6 billion Nebraska Investment Council has invested approximately $162.5 million into four real estate funds.

The council made a first-time investment in UBS Trumbull Property Income Fund, managed by UBS Realty Investors. The fund makes core income-oriented investments. The NIC has previously invested in the UBS Trumbull Property Fund, which focuses on diversified core real estate with moderate leverage that invests primarily in direct ownership of real estate assets.

The council made additional commitments of $60 million of defined benefit plan assets and $5 million from the $1.1 billion general endowment pool to Cornerstone Patriot Fund, an open-end core real estate fund managed by Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers.
