Michigan University commits $30m to energy fund

The Regents of the University of Michigan committed $30 million to Grey Rock Energy Fund II, managed by Grey Rock Energy Partners, at the endowment’s Sept. 15 board meeting.

The natural resources fund will invest in non-operating working interests in North American oil and gas assets.

Michigan University committed $95 million to several real estate and energy investments earlier this year. The $10 billion endowment has a 12 percent target allocation to real estate.
