Lighthouse launches Australian solar fund

by Zoë Wolff

Melbourne, Australia–based Lighthouse Infrastructure Management has launched Lighthouse Solar Fund, according to a statement.

The fund is seeking to raise A$100 million ($76 million) to invest in solar photovoltaic systems and contracts with utility, government, commercial, industrial and residential customers in Australia.

Mitch King, Lighthouse founder and managing director, says the firm has identified a significant pipeline of opportunities in Australia.

“Investors will, in addition to earning commercial returns, powerfully apply their capital to achieve long-term environmental and social benefits, accelerating Australia’s transition toward a lower-carbon society,” King said in a statement.
