European transport sectors recovering

According to European Toll Roads and Airports: Recent Data Suggests Signs of Slow Recovery in Traffic Volumes, a report from Moody’s Investors Service, traffic performance trends on European toll roads, both in core and peripheral E.U. countries, steadily improved in 2013. The trend for core E.U. airports, meanwhile, is less clear on the basis of quarter-on-quarter improvement; however, 2013 did experience strong growth in passenger volumes across core E.U. airports on wider sources of traffic-influenced growth. European traffic trends in 2014 are expected to improve although growth should be subdued and regional differences will persist.
