Castellum invests in Swedish properties

Swedish listed property firm Castellum has signed an agreement with Heimstaden to buy roughly €260 million ($276 million) of residential and commercial assets across Sweden.

The transaction comprises 27 properties, totaling 2 million square feet in the Swedish markets of Norrköping, Linköping, Örebro and Solna. The transaction also marks the beginning of a joint venture in the urban development of Linköping and Norrköping.

Castellum has acquired four properties in Örebro and one property in Solna through its wholly owned subsidiaries Aspholmen Fastigheter AB and Fastighets AB Brostaden. In central Örebro, Aspholmen has acquired four office properties totaling 243,383 square feet, with an occupancy rate of 92 percent. In Solna, Brostaden has acquired an office property/project property of 57,738 square feet with an occupancy rate of 17 percent.
