Christopher J. Ailman is the chief investment officer of the $120 billion California State Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS). As CIO, Ailman leads a team of seven directors and an investment staff of 96, which manage the following divisions: Private Equity, Global Equities, Corporate Governance, Fixed Income, Real Estate, Operations and Innovation/Risk. He joined CalSTRS in the fall of 2000 and has more than 23 years of institutional investment management experience. Prior to joining CalSTRS, Ailman had more than four years' experience managing the $60 billion Washington State Investment Board, and 11 years' experience working for the Sacramento County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement System, where he served as CIO.

Vince Benedetti

Vince Benedetti is head of infrastructure for the New Jersey Division of Investment, the nation's 10th largest public fund manager, with pension fund assets of about $70 billion. Prior to joining the Division of Investment in 2007, he was a senior investigator for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General auditing broker-dealers and investment advisers. Prior to that, Benedetti was a senior vice president of research with Punk, Ziegel & Co. LLC (now Ladenburg Thalmann & Co.). He has also held positions with Gruntal & Co. LLC (now Stifel Nicolaus & Co.) and PaineWebber Inc. (now UBS).

Andrew Lin is a senior vice president at Borealis Infrastructure, the infrastructure investment arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System. He has a decade of experience in originating assets across all infrastructure sectors, with a specialization in the energy and transportation sectors. In addition to leading deal teams in transactions, he also is primarily responsible for debt structuring and hedging of investments for the firm. He previously worked as an investment banker at Scotia Capital and managed fixed-income portfolios for a multinational life insurance company.

Page has two decades of experience in finance, project development and public-private partnerships in the transportation and utility infrastructure industries, specializing in surface transportation, airports, seaports, water and sewer systems, and other government facilities and real estate in the United States, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. He has advised municipalities and toll authorities on financing highway and transit projects with traditional and innovative finance sources, counseled airport authorities on funding expansions with a combination of bonds and grant programs, and helped government organizations on the structuring of public-private partnerships.

Prior to joining Capital Innovations, Underhill was a managing director at Capital Dynamics, a private equity adviser based in Zug, Switzerland. He has more than 16 years of experience in investment management, infrastructure and private equity investing, beginning with his role at Lehman Bros. He is chairman of The Global Infrastructure Council, chairman of the Foundation for Behavioral Economics and a member of the American Economics Association.
