The new normal: Investors chart new courses in evolving global environment

We began 2023 in a period of flux. In economic terms, 2022 received a boost as we took further steps to come out of the pandemic, but with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine taking its toll on supply chains and energy markets. This all contributed to rising inflation and interest rates, with the U.S. dollar proving relatively strong compared with other currencies. Is this status quo the new normal? How long will it continue? And what effect will it have on infrastructure investment?
