Marketing Project Administrator
San Ramon–based firm is seeking a marketing project administrator to assist in the execution and management of the department's marketing endeavors. This position will encompass an array of responsibilities, which is perfect for an individual who has well-rounded marketing skills and is a strong multi-tasker. Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years prior experience working in a marketing capacity performing the tasks outlined in the job responsibilities below. Position will be a member of the marketing department and will work with each member of the department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, execute and measure assigned marketing campaigns delivered through email, direct mail and phone calls. This includes copywriting, email setup, print production and database campaign setup and tracking.
- Execute publication fulfillment programs for the delivery of 8 publications through email. Setup each publication into an e-book and post to our site.
- Manage and execute the electronic renewal campaigns for 5 publications.
- Work in both Salesforce and Marketo to setup and deliver assigned marketing campaigns.
- Setup and execute assigned email promotional mailings for ancillary products.
- Write compelling promotional copy for the department’s various marketing campaigns as directed.
- Assist in managing the department’s ongoing projects. These projects will include, the company’s website, video, collateral, database, advertising and circulation areas.
- Work with other marketing staff on developing our social media strategy. This includes developing infographics, polls, videos and applying other social media tools to drive subscription and advertising revenue.
- Negotiate marketing alliances with outside vendors to help us strengthen our brand and increase our visibility at popular industry events. This includes data entering these alliances into our Salesforce database for tracking.
- Make sales calls to advertising prospects that have responded to our promotions, made an inquiry or advertised in the past. Perform follow-up calls to close the sale. Work on prospecting for new advertiser leads.
- Use InDesign and Photoshop to update existing brochures, postcards, media kits, ads, banners and email header art. Also, be able to work on new simple design projects that follow our marketing collateral strategy.
- Proofread all email and direct mail promotions for the department. Also, proofread our daily publication outbound emails.
- Website copy edits and updates.
- Create or work with assigned video editor to put together short promotional videos for our products. This includes products that we are selling like subscriptions and conferences, but may also include informational tutorials to be posted to our site.
- Help with any data entry overflow as directed to support the department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years experience in similar or related role (direct marketing a plus)
- Advanced skills in Salesforce campaigns and Marketo programs
- Media/publishing industry experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Customer service oriented
- Organized with attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
Position is full-time, permanent and is available immediately. Salary and benefits (Aetna PPO, 401K) are competitive with the industry.
